Introducing the next development phase for NIX adoption — Off-Chain Governance
As we move closer to the one year anniversary of the inception of NIX, the core team believes that with the strong foundations built so far (including many unique accomplishments), now is the perfect time to elevate the project towards further decentralization with the implementation of off-chain governance.
This governance structure will function as a supporting funding/decision model for all invested stakeholders who actively participate in the NIX ecosystem (i.e, node and staking participants of any amount).
As everyone is aware, NIX was created with its initial supply generated directly from a faucet. A complete report of the faucet, the initial development funding, and the remaining development funding is attached together with the governance proposal and its design for technical implementation.
The addresses listed within will begin to transition into two primary development tax addresses for easier accountability on March 1, 2019 in preparation for the new governance structure — anticipated to go live in Q2 2019.
